  ABOUT GOLDfren brake pads
  • AD, S3, S33 and GP compounds are homologated by German institute TÜV Rheinland.
  • All of our brake pads are made with sintered metal-ceramic and ceramic-carbon friction materials
  • Sintered brake pads is a modern technology that provides the greatest brake power and wear life possible
  • Sintered pads provide superior stopping power and longer life compared to other brake pad types such as: carbon organic, organic, or semi-metallic organic
  • Sintered pads offer no brake fade when operating at high temperatures and in wet conditions
  • GOLDfren is a pioneer in sintering with advanced and progressive powder metallurgy methods
  • Designed for both wet and dry applications
  • Sintered brake pads deliver exceptional braking performance under the most demanding conditions
  • All materials are lead and asbestos free
  • High-end quality aftermarket performance disc brakes
  • Compound series available are: AD, S3, K5, K5-LX, S33, GP5, GP6 a GP7
  • Application of each compound is based on our material chart (below) or the rider’s preference and riding style

The AD series is optimal for common street riding on scooters, cruisers and street bikes.

It’s recommended for riders that do not ride really hard, but want good stopping power if they need it. The wearing rate of this compound is 20% lower than other known sintered brake pads in the same category.

The AD compound provides low abrasive interaction with the brake rotor and a much quieter braking due to the composite material.

Friction materials contain metal-ceramic and typical iron and finer additives are added to the base of the iron compound to achieve optimal friction properties.

Application comparison with EBC SFA

The S3 series is optimal for common street riding on street bikes and cruisers with rather larger engines.

It’s recommended for riders who ride harder than average and want great stopping power.

The S3 compound provides low abrasive interaction with the brake rotor and a much quieter braking because the ceramic composite material. It can also perform under higher temperatures than AD.

Friction materials contain metal-ceramic with a bronze-graphite designed for dry and wet friction applications. Coarser non-metallic friction additives are spread evenly on the base fine bronze body to achieve optimal friction properties.

Application comparison with EBC Extreme Pro

The K5 series is optimal for off-road riding on dirt bikes, and ATV.

It’s recommended for riders who demand great off-road stopping power. While the K5 series can be used at a competitive level on the rear brakes, GOLDfren has other options more suitable for world-class racing such as K5-LX and S33.

The K5 compound provides low abrasive interaction with the brake rotor, long life and self-cleaning capabilities.

Friction materials contain metal-ceramic with a sophisticated bronze-graphite and full-metal mixture formulation with fine friction particles to achieve optimal friction properties.

Application comparison with EBC R series

The K5-LX series is optimal for striving pro level off-road racers who demand great braking performance and durability.

Recommended for pro off-road riders who are looking for a competitive edge and great stopping power.

The K5-LX compound is designed for low abrasive interaction with the brake rotor, long life and self-cleaning capabilities. Additionally, the K5-LX rear pads feature a stainless-steel heat shield for thermal isolation.

Friction materials contain metal-ceramic with a very sophisticated bronze-graphite with full-metal formulation and fine friction particles to achieve optimal friction properties.

The S33 series is optimal for ambitious first-class pro level off-road riders who demand the ultimate edge on their racing with absolute great stopping power and exceptional longevity.

The S33 series is also ideal for street bikes, cruisers, speed bikes and dual sport riders who demand the best sintered pad with high performance and excellent wear life.

The S33 series is currently used in world championship races by motocross and enduro riders.

The S33 compound provides non-aggressive interaction with the brake rotor, long life and self-cleaning capabilities. Additionally, the S33 rear pads feature a stainless-steel heat shield for thermal isolation.

The S33 compound contains all-metal friction materials and finer metal friction admixtures evenly distributed in the base structure designed for optimal friction to achieve the greatest friction properties possible under heavy conditions.

The GP5 series is optimal for speed track racing.

Recommended for riders who race on track and possibly like to do some street aggressive riding and demand high braking power.

The GP5 provides low abrasive interaction with the brake rotor and a much quieter braking because the ceramic friction material. The GP5 series features a stainless-steel heat shield for thermal isolation.

The GP5 compound contains metal-ceramic friction materials specially formulated and designed for race use.

Application comparison with EBC GPFA

The GP6 series is optimal for speed track racing only.

Recommended only for track racers who demand the best stopping power on track racing conditions.

The GP6 compound provides low abrasive interaction with the brake rotor and a much quieter braking because the ceramic friction material. The GP6 series features a stainless-steel heat shield for thermal isolation.

The GP6 compound contains metal-ceramic friction materials specially formulated and designed for track racing. The brake lining is specially treated for ultimate racing performance.

Application comparison with EBC GPFA

Brand new GP7 material is optimal for speed track racing use.

It was formulated on the basis of sintered metal-ceramic friction materials by means of powder metalurgy. The most characteristic feature of this production technology is the high and stable friction coefficient .

GP7 compound provides low abrasive interaction with brake disc and much calmer braking thaks to metal-ceramic composition of friction material. GP7 series is supplied with fitted stainless-steel heat shield on the back side of the brake pad. Heat shield provides thermal isolation. GP7 series is highly resistant to abrasion. Difference between braking performance in dry and wet conditions is minimal.
